Portage Residents of Woodlawn Drive Share Their Thoughts on Trayvon Martin

“I think that hoodie hoke thing is laughable because it has no relevance,” Ed Halcomb, 62, said. “That came from the media, all of this does. Those pictures they have are from when he was 13, four years before his death. It’s just laughable.”
“I don’t really follow what’s going on in the news, but what I know of the Trayvon thing makes you think about what your own town in like,” 17-year-old Chris Seelman said.
“Justice will be served,” Erik Rankin, 45, said. “It’s really a travesty, I don’t want to say Zimmerman hunted him down, but he obviously followed him and took the law into his own hands.”
“I don’t know what I would do if that happened to someone I loved,” 17-year-old Chad Lenczycki said. “When people first started talking about it I couldn’t help but imagine what it would be like to come to school and hear about it the next day.”
